Volunteer signups with a clear commitment

Explain the role, time involved, and what happens after signup. Keep one-time shifts and ongoing interest easy to understand.

One-time opportunities

Create a volunteer opportunity with the date, start and end times, location, and number of people needed. Split separate shifts into separate opportunities so each has its own available places.

Ongoing roles

Use an ongoing role for a recurring commitment such as a weekly pantry team. Explain the expected frequency and training. Signup records interest for a leader to follow up; it does not automatically enroll someone in every future shift.

A useful follow-up list

Staff can see who signed up, their contact information, and any notes. Mark the commitment completed after the activity. Keep sensitive staff notes out of the public description.
