Put the item, quantity, and next step in one place. Supporters can promise an item or cover its cost once payment setup is complete.

Start with what is actually needed

Write a specific item name and a useful description. “Ten new twin-size blankets” tells a supporter more than “help families.” Include acceptable substitutions, delivery details, and the date you need the item.

Keep promised and completed separate

A commitment reserves the quantity so someone else does not promise the same item. Staff mark the item completed when it arrives. Cancel a commitment when plans change to reopen that quantity.

Offer a second way to help

Set a cost per item and complete payment setup to let supporters fund items they cannot bring. Your organization handles purchasing and delivery. The public page reflects confirmed payments and existing commitments.
